June & July

Well I haven't blogged for a while. Partly life is busy and partly cos I haven't got round to it. June saw Joshua move up to Cubs from Beavers but he also moved to a new pack to be with his friends. He really enjoys going to Cubs and I think it is such a good thing for him to do.  Joshua got invested into Cubs on the 7th July and I invited his Uncle Andy and Aunty Charlotte along as Andy lives just a few minutes away from where Cubs is held. I think Andy really enjoyed watching his [...]

May Half Term

We've had a busy start to the half term holidays and a slower end to it. Friday Pete & Joshua went on Bigman Littleman, whilst I was working a night shift. We had picked my niece up from her house after school and I had her until my sister came to pick her up and she also took Hannah who was staying the night with her cousin. When those two get together they're as thick as thieves (to coin a phrase) and they had come up with a plan for the following day. As Andy was going to visit Bigman [...]

May day 2015

Time is flying by and it is now mid-May. The elections have been and gone and this year I really struggled to know who to vote for so I did what any self-respecting voter would do and created a spreadsheet!! (Much to my husbands amusement) I read through the main bullet points on each party's manifesto (which was found on the BBC website) and gave them a tick for each area such as health, education, policing etc. if I agreed with the majority of the pledges. However, if I found I didn't agree with most of them or there was [...]

Easter holidays

I've been on Annual Leave for the whole of the easter holidays which has been really nice. We had a lovely couple of weeks off. We went away for a few days to South Wales (we seem to be having a love affair with Wales at the moment, this will be our 3rd trip there in less than a year!!) this time to a place called Dale which is near Pembroke. We went on a Real Family Holiday to Dale Fort. (For those Gloucester people who remember The Wilderness Centre its a bit like that) It's an education centre for [...]

Birthday Celebrations – March 2015

This month was quite a busy month with it being Mother's Day and my birthday. Another year closer to the big 40 but still got 2 years to go 🙂 Life seems to move at an ever increasingly frantic pace. The days and weeks seem to go by a lot quicker than they did when I was a child. I find that as you get older material things don't seem so important as to having experiences and spending time with those people who are important to us. I came off a night shift on Mother's Day and so didn't get [...]

4th Jan 2015

Wow, its 2015. That last year went fast. We had a good (but tiring - having been on a night shift) Christmas spent with my parents. On the 27th December we went to London to visit Andy, Charlotte and the kids as it was his birthday. It was a really good time spent with the family. New Years Eve I (Georgina) was working the night shift, so it was a little strange watching the fireworks from the tower block rather than being at a friends house or at home watching the BBC's coverage of London. I finished at 7:45am and [...]
